Staff Reporter : Superbrands Bangladesh 2025–26 was recently unveiled in a distinguished gala celebration honouring 49 of Bangladesh’s most influential and reputable brands, each exemplifying excellence and consumer confidence in their respective industries. The gala, held on Saturday, 20 September 2025, at Le Meridien Dhaka and hosted by Superbrands Bangladesh, brought together the country’s leading corporate visionaries, senior executives, brand custodians, marketers, and industry leaders to honour brand excellence. The evening also marked the exclusive unveiling of the cover of the upcoming Superbrands publication, which will spotlight these exemplary brands over the next two years.

Superbrands, founded in the UK in 1994, is the world’s largest independent arbiter of branding, which defines a Superbrand as one that has established the finest reputation in its field and offers consumers both tangible and emotional advantages over competitors. These brands inspire confidence, represent reliability, and carry a distinction that consumers not only recognise but are willing to invest in at a premium. Attaining Superbrands status adds immense value by strengthening brand positioning, enhancing prestige, and reassuring stakeholders of their leadership in the market.
The selection process of Superbrands Bangladesh 2025–26 was conducted through a rigorous process by a distinguished Brand Council, comprising a multidisciplinary panel of experts from across the country. Each brand is scored out of 20 based on key attributes, including brand heritage, category relevance, perceived quality, perceived performance, and top-of-mind awareness. The highest-scoring brands receive invitations to avail the Superbrands status, and those fulfilling all requirements are officially recognised.

During the gala, Mr. Ashraf Bin Taj, Managing Director of International Distributions Company Bangladesh (Pvt) Ltd. elaborated on the rigorous jury process. He emphasised: “The selection of Superbrands in Bangladesh adheres to the same stringent global standards that have defined the program worldwide. Through a multi-stage evaluation, only those brands that demonstrate exceptional consistency, credibility, and relevance rise to the top and secure their place among the Superbrands.”

Addressing the distinguished gathering at the gala, Mr. Shariful Islam, Managing Director of Superbrands Bangladesh, said: “A true Superbrand is a name people trust, respect, and take pride in. These brands earn confidence by keeping their promises and by standing apart through their values. Tonight, we celebrate the brands that embody this trust and continue to set new benchmarks for the industry.”
The Superbrands publication profiles each honored brand and is regarded as a valuable resource for senior professionals in advertising, marketing, brand management, academia, and media.
Globally, Superbrands has recognised nearly 45,221 brands across 90 countries since its inception in 1994, with over 645 publications highlighting the journeys of these leading names. In Bangladesh, the 5th volume of Superbrands continues this legacy by spotlighting brands that go beyond competition to embody quality, trust, and distinction.
