TOAB to Host Bangladesh’s Largest International Tourism Fair – BTTF, Starting on October 30

!!  Bangladesh’s largest tourism fair, the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2025, is being organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), a leading tourism trade organization established in 1992. This international fair will take place from October 30 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Agargaon, Dhaka, for three days !! 
Staff  Reporter  :  The press meet and memorandum of understanding signing ceremony for BTTF 2025 was chaired by Mr. Md. Rafeuzjaman, President of TOAB, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dhaka on Monday. The event was hosted by Mr. Md. Yunus, Director of Media & Public Relations, TOAB. To promote Bangladesh tourism global market, the brand ambassador for BTTF was present at the event, Mr. Shubhashish Bhumik.
Mr. Md. Taslim Amin Shobhon, Director (Trade & Fair), TOAB, provided an overview of the fair and its preparations. He mentioned that this year’s event would be the 13th edition, with a much larger, more exciting, and extravagant scale than previous years. This year’s fair will have support from several key organizations, including the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, the Bangladesh Tourism Board, Bangladesh Tourist Police, and FBCCI. For the first time, Turkish Airlines will directly participate in the fair.
Gold sponsors include the international hotel chain IHG, with hospitality partners such as Intercontinental Dhaka, Crowne Plaza Gulshan, and Holiday Inn Dhaka. Additionally,
sustainability partners include Mission Green Bangladesh, cruise partners Symphony of Waves, strategic partner ATJFB, PR partner OPAS, technology partner M36T, digital partner Maestro Digital, GDS partner Saber Bangladesh, transport partner Convoy Service, and venue partner BCFCC. National tourism organizations and tourism associations from Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka have confirmed their participation, and discussions are ongoing with several other countries for participation.
Tour operators and travel agents from Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, UAE, and Turkey will also participate. The fair will feature exhibitors from international and domestic airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, resorts, and cruise liners. This year’s fair will have a dedicated zone for medical tourism. There will be a total of 220 stalls in four pavilions across the event.
The fair will host over 250 exhibitors, more than 20 countries, over 2,000 commercial representatives, and more than 50,000 visitors are expected to attend. Other activities during the fair will include B2B sessions, seminars, and roundtable discussions. Cultural programs and documentaries on the country’s tourist destinations will be showcased every day. There will also be exciting raffle draws, with attractive prizes for the winners.
To make the registration process for exhibitors more modern and accessible, the BTTF website has introduced new features. Visitors from around the world can now register online and access all event details from their home countries. Additionally, for the first time in Bangladesh, an app for the fair has been launched. This app will provide visitors with venue maps, stall details, and a seamless navigation experience.
The focus of this year’s event will be to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. Efforts will be made to showcase how tourism can be developed without harming the environment. The fair will be plastic-free, and tree planting initiatives and sustainable tourism campaigns will be held at tourist spots across the eight divisions of Bangladesh.
The folk crafts, which carry the cultural heritage of the country, will also be displayed at the fair. Local artisans from various districts will showcase their products and demonstrate their craft.
Several initiatives have been taken to create enthusiasm and engage people in the fair. A competition for travel photos, videos, and stories will be held, with the winning entries displayed at the event. Special prizes will be awarded to the winners.
For journalists who continuously inform tourists about tourism, hospitality, and aviation, there will be a special event. The top three journalists with the best coverage of tourism and BTTF 2025 will receive awards, TOAB certificates, and the opportunity for domestic and international travel.
Tourism is not only about the high season in Dhaka but should be promoted year-round across Bangladesh. The regional BTTF events, known as BTTF Regional Fairs, will be held in Khulna, Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Chattogram divisions in 2026, allowing local tourism stakeholders to participate as exhibitors.
In her speech, the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, Ms. Sayema Shaheen Sultana, highlighted the importance of BTTF in developing Bangladesh’s tourism sector. She assured the government’s full support for making the event a success.
Mr. Md. Rafeuzjaman, President of TOAB, emphasized that BTTF is Bangladesh’s largest and most popular tourism fair, aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable development in tourism. He hopes that this year’s fair will generate excitement and enthusiasm among local and international stakeholders, thereby contributing to the growth of the tourism industry and playing a vital role in Bangladesh’s economy.
During the event, several MOUs were signed between TOAB and various partner organizations, focusing on sustainable tourism, medical tourism, digital promotion, and regional cooperation. In addition, the following partner associations of TOAB are also involved: Tour Operators Association of Sundarbans, Tour Operators Association of Cox’s Bazar, Tour Operators Association of Kuakata, Resort Owners Association of Sundarbans, E-Tourism Association of Bangladesh, and House Boat Owners Association.
The event was attended by prominent individuals including Mr. Md. Mainul Hasan, Additional IGP of Bangladesh Tourist Police; Mr. Mahibul Islam, Deputy Director of Bangladesh Tourism Board (Marketing & Branding); Mr. Ashwini Nair, Area General Manager, IHG South West Asia (Gold Sponsor); and Mr. Tanjim Anwar, President of the Aviation & Tourism Journalist Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB). Other attendees included TOAB’s First Vice President Mr. Abul Kalam Azad, Vice President Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, former President Mr. Shiblul Azam Qureshi, Directors, Steering Committee Convenor and Members of BTTF 2025, TOAB’s Advisers, and Company Secretary. At the conclusion of the press meet, Mr. Md. Rafeuzjaman answered questions from the media.
